Been slow the last couple weeks

Haven't been as busy on Fierion lately, work has me travelling to many places, also working on a couple other projects for winter as well, but I did get a little work done to her so far this week. It wasn't huge but I did get the serpentine belt installed (shortest serp belt ever I think), tightened the drive shafts (didn't realize they were loose, not good) and finally drilled and tapped the turbo drain line to the engine block. If you ever want a heart stopping moment, try taking a drill bit to a perfectly good engine block, trusting instructions from the internet, haha.

Busy Sunday

Just my luck today, great weather and just in time for me to actually get under the car todo some much needed work under the engine......Not bad for Nov 6, almost 20 degrees C or about 60ish F for my american followers, so today I took her out of the garage for some sunbathing.

Mostly more wiring done today, connected the rad fans to the wiring harness, connected the oil pressure gauge line for the aftermarket gauge, ran the brake booster line under the car, also got the EVAP canister mounted, I've still got a couple things to wire under the car still, fuel sender wiring needs to be extended by 12" and wire up the Meth pressure switch to the Meth pump.

Not much in the way of pictures to show progress as it's not all that interesting under the car.........but since it was out I figure to take some nice overall progress pictures while the car was outside.

Missed a couple update posts, its been busy and exciting lately.

It's been a couple busy days here, work has me swamped but I have been getting work done to the Fierion as well, thus why no updates.

First I had to take a day off from wiring.......had to break it up so I finally got around to modifying the stock ebrake to mount the hydraulic ebrake cylinder, also I mounted it in a somewhat more normal mounting position, although I could have easily put it back in the stock location. Also I got tired of the ION door handle trim pieces falling on the ground, almost getting crushed in the doors or in general just getting in the way so I fabbed up some brackets to mount them to the doors.......simple but how it reduces frustration while working on the car.

Of course I'm still working on finishing up the wiring and wire by wire it's coming together, power door lock buttons and relays are working, but for some reason there isn't a signal going to the solenoids........probably a missing or blown fuse, least of my worries.

I've passed a huge milestone though, I got the brain working, yes the PCM/BCM are alive and talking!!!!! there are a couple issues probably related to the half dozen ground wires that still aren't connected to the chassis but I'm getting there. Electric power steering is connected and isn't coming up in the warning messages anymore. I've also got the 240 dash somewhat bolted down (couple more brackets and bolts will be required, plus for the first time I've gotten the 240 gauge bezel fitted around the steering column with the ION gauge cluster fitted (really its kinda just jammed in there, custom mounting bracket and filler piece will be created one day) Also got the hazard button and trunk release wired into the 240 trim piece.

Like I said, one wire at a time, still a few to go but the wiring list is getting much shorter!

Trying to spice up the blog from all the wiring posts

Thought I'd just do a quick picture post giving a quick picture history of the project to date. I'm still trying to find the pictures of the car in the earliest days, when I got her home, tear down, rust repair, etc, etc........no luck but I know they are somewhere.
