Well I'm back at it again, work has had me busy the last two months, on top of the holidays and putting some build time into my Jeep for two weeks progress on Fierion has been slow to none. That doesn't mean nothing has been done, I did get some parts ordered so that I can finally get the door glass, skins, mirrors, etc, etc installed.
Let me just say that GM engineering in the 80's, well was interesting and a bit of a pain in the ass........case and point the window wipes, to get them off you need to remove the glass, to remove the glass you need to cut/drill out some rivets that can't be re-used, to do that you need to remove the door skin, to do that you need to remove the mirror and it goes on. On top of that, if you disassembled the whole thing a year ago and you don't remember the exact order it was taken apart it will take you several hours to figure it all out again, hahaha.
It's done, the windows are installed and they do work on the ION wiring harness, including the auto down feature.......but they are sticky and difficult on the motors to run up and down, I figure that it's probably because they haven't been used much if at all in over 10 years, lubricated the slides and the wipes are new so they could be a little stiff.
Lastly I fired up my code reader to read the engine/BCM codes, so far I only have two, one because I haven't connected the fuel pump/sender unit and the other is for a oil temp sensor, I'll have to double check that I connected that sensor, very odd.
