Front suspension rebuild part 5

Things and updates have been going kinda slow lately, here's a quick and dirty update....I've got the car back on four tires, almost everything looks like it is working correctly on the front suspension. There is a small problem with the mounting location of the sway bar and couldn't see the problem till everything was back on the car. I am going to be changing the mounting location and the swaybar arm so that it has proper clearances.

Here's a couple update pics, I did adjust majority of the camber out and set the coilovers higher than what you see in the pictures.

  1. I love following your blog. Unfortunately it only lists the time of the blog posted, but not the date, which makes it hard to judge when updates happen, or how long certain projects take.

That said, I always appreciate an update, even if it doesn't include specific updates, rather random musings, or things you've learned about building cars, suspension design etc.

Btw.: are you still building a notchback sail panel fastback? That was very interesting visually and quite unique.

I don't remember now, are you using an Ecotec LSJ, or LNF motor? Have you fired it up yet?

  2. Thanks for the comments, the car will be a full fastback with a custom hatch, as for the engine its a LSJ with a LNF turbo installed, haven't fired it up cause I haven't gotten to customizing the stock wiring harness as of yet.
