At least it didn't burn down!

Last night was a big night, Yu-Ju finished up the wiring of the headlights and I was able to put power to the full car! Battery was a little weak but I was able to only test the lighting system, factory security on the ION computers were going crazy, maybe because the Airbag and ABS modules were removed, maybe because it's been disconnected for so long, either way it seems a factory relearn or security bypass needs to be done, I'm just glad it took power and didn't sizzle, crackle or pop anything. I even put it into Run mode for a second and heard the relays in the engine bay fire up.

On top of that I got the power door locks mounted and fully connected, finished another radiator line and a couple other bits and pieces.

Now for some pics.

Through the looking glass

Actually through the looking acrylic to be exact but who's going to argue it.

Got a few things accomplished last night, mainly the rear hatch window is mounted, Yu-Ju is continuing wiring the front lighting systems, figured out where and how I'm mounting the door lock actuators plus not shown yet is the final pieces to the cooling system, soon I'll be able to fill her up with coolant.

Not much to talk about so I'll post the pictures.

Quick update of some Monday night progress

It's been a week since I've been able to work on the project, work trip to Miami and a good friends wedding take priority.

Last night got re-started on some wiring of the front end with some help from Yu-Ju, she really is getting to be a wiring expert, soon she'll be able to rewire the whole car...... ran meth injection supply line, ran the power steering main power lines, got a couple braided lines ready for the gauges, plus added another really kick ass piece to the project styling..........finally figured/finished the intercooler roof mounted scoop, personally I think it came out really good.

Now for the pics.

Some rainy Sunday action

Had a busy weekend but still got some work done to the project. Again more little things but things that needed to be done nevertheless.

I finished up the gas tank fill pipe, cover, etc........gotta remember to put the ground line in though, it's all about bonding and grounding, don't need any fill up fires!!!!

Also got some more items done with the headlights, mounted and tested the HID kits, also pulled the headlight wiring through the firewall, just gotta finish extending the wires and wire them to all the devices......now I gotta locate some 98 Impreza bumper turn signals and pig tail connectors for the lights.

Lastly got a battery this weekend, not a new one but used for now until the car is actually on the road, gotta throw the battery maintainer on it to keep it good......Clutch master cylinder was mounted as well as I got the gas struts to lift the hatch finally installed.

It's all about the little things......

Did some little things last night, I was working on another project for a couple hours last night (Jeep JKU relocation gas tank) and I couldn't get much time last night, but I was able to finish half the cooling system off plus look at how I'm going to go about the other half. Also worked on the gas fill line, mounting and door........when I sent the car off for soda blasting before I should have gone through all my boxes of parts as I continue to find metal parts that weren't stripped and I have to take time to wire wheel, clean and rust check, very time consuming.......it is what it is, progress is still being made........onto the pics.

More progress last night

Got a couple things completed and started looking at other items that need to be completed last night. First I got both headlight mounting complete, bumper is fully installed, tail and side marker lights on the rear are done (although I still need to wire licence plate lights and find two more bulb holders for the pontiac in the rear lights), started looking at how to complete (for now) the rear hatch and the intercooler roof scoop. I got one lower fender/sail piece installed, will work on the other side when I complete the gas tank fill and coolant lines on the driver side, also I will probably be mounting the roof shortly as well. Lastly since the cool weather is coming I reorganized the garage so that I can move the car around a bit more to work on it during the winter months. Hopefully tonight I can get back into the car and do some more wiring (mostly because the headlights are finally mounted, but I do need to find some GC subi turn signals and wiring pig tails).
